Accessibility

This website has been launched so everyone, whether or not they have a disability and irrespective of the browser they use for accessing the site, can browse its pages without encountering any access problems.

The following measures have been considered in the http://bsmsa.cat/ URL to allow users easier access to all contents and functions:

  • Multibrowser: Pages offer correct viewing on several browsers used for the analysis (Mozilla, Internet Explorer, Safari, Chrome), apart from a few understandably caused mismatches in content, seeing as the development is not at its final stage.
  • Consistent browsing: Consistency on the website is ensured, making browsing coherent on every page and offering a satisfying user experience.
  • Flickering and blinking: prevents interference such as content flickering, exaggerated blinking, automatically starting audios and moving content.
  • Language style: The content is written in a simple, easy-to-understand style for the website's target public.
  • Text images: Apart from logos, the content is perfectly configurable given the elimination of text images. (except for the photos at the top of the home page).
  • Colour-based information: The content is not exclusively colour based and can be fully understood without its use.
  • Colour contrast in the text: In general, the colour contract ratio is sufficient for almost every text.
  • Page titles: The page titles state the name of the website and section the user is in.
  • Language: The language has been correctly shown on the various pages so screen readers and automatic translators can interact with it without any difficulties.

The B:SM corporate website, http://bsmsa.cat/, has been developed under the Web 2.0 (WCAG 2.0) Content Accessibility Guidelines, on its Double A level, as established by W3C (World Wide Web Consortium).
